16 January 2025A chapter of change and growth: 2014 - 2024
The most recent 10 years of our existence again brought much change and growth, as is usual in CSi history. In 2018 itsme. and Erwin Ruder joined CSi as co-owners. This changed the management team, Jan de Bruijn stayed on as CEO and Erwin Ruder became CFO. The acquisition gave a good boost to the company's position. Our housing accommodation also changed as the building at Lissenveld 41 was outdated. A new building was built on the same street and our new address became Lissenveld 39. In 2024, itsme withdrew as a shareholder and CSi was acquired by the Mpac Group, a global company based in the UK. As part of the Mpac Group CSi is part of their full-line supply chain offering, where we busy ourselves with the palletising and conveying aspect.
Our product portfolio had significant upgrades during the past decade. The LINEx and i-Pal robotic palletisers were made into a standard model that is completely modular and configurable to order. The layer palletisers Taros and C5000 had multiple upgrades, and we started implementing AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots). In 2014, our Intelliware software was redesigned into the MOre SCADA & Software Intelligence i4.0 software suite we know today. Our Lifecycle Services department has also been growing, giving more attention to the smart bundling of our services (like the PLAs), and of course the start of the CSi Service hub in Mexico in 2016. There’s also been an increase in attention to account management, with more focus on the customer’s needs.
A selection of noteworthy projects from 2014 – 2024
To respect the privacy of our customers, we will not disclose specific details about these recent projects.
- Poland (2014): a second robotic palletiser system was commissioned to complement to existing CSi system at this customer’s site. This new system included 3 robotic palletising cells, conveying lines, SCADA software, and a special track & trace feature to comply with European regulations.
- Germany (2018): we installed similar systems at two locations simultaneously. One system consisted of 10 robotic palletisers and the other of 6, all specially designed with pallet lift and centering frame to guarantee accurate stacking. This was also one of the first implementations of the new MOre software.
- Romania (2023): one of our long-term customers ordered a new palletising system which had to be commissioned in a running factory. The system included 7 LINEx robotic palletisers, 2 wrappers, 2 pallet labellers and case conveying.
- Guatamala (2021 - 2024): This two-phase project started with a scope of 6 robotic palletisers, a wrapper, case and pallet conveying, and automatic pallet destacking. Two additional robotic palletisers and a second wrapper were added in phase two, which finished this year. This was the first system we did in Latin America for this long-term customer. They have since ordered two new systems for a site in Columbia and in Mexico.
