The current case handling portfolio has served reliably for many years, but its complexity has increased significantly. A wide variety of frame types, layout configurations and mounting methods has resulted in long installation times and higher total cost of ownership. These challenges formed the basis for the development of a new uniform transport standard by CSi palletising. One that has a lot of advantages for our customer, as it improves efficiency, reduces costs and simplifies both installation and operation in the long term.
To achieve this, a series of targeted improvements have been implemented.

โ๏ธ Most impactful is the significant reduction in on-site installation time. This is made possible by fully integrated cable management, a single standardised frame design shared across all conveyor types, and a modular construction approach. Key elements include uniform side guide heights, identical roller mounting principles and universal mounting interfaces for supports and suspensions that ensure conveyor belts can be positioned quickly and consistently.
โ๏ธAdditionally, the transition from pneumatic to electric stop plates and brake rims significantly supports emissions reductions by eliminating the continuous air consumption inherent in pneumatics.
โ๏ธIn addition to the installation speed, the new design delivers overall cost savings. This is driven by simplified production processes requiring up to 90% less welding, as well as the introduction of a single roll diameter of 50 [mm] across the entire portfolio. Improved accessibility and serviceability of wear components further reduces downtime and maintenance costs. In addition, the conveyors can now be pre-assembled prior to shipment, with the actuators pre-installed and linked to their position numbers. This streamlines the installation process and minimises the need for on-site adjustments.
Together, these developments create a new generation of case handling equipment that is faster to install, more cost-effective to produce and significantly easier to operate and maintain!
