Dairy

Palletising dairy goods is an essential part of the supply chain, designed to protect perishable products and streamline their handling during storage and transport. Dairy items such as milk cartons, cheese blocks, yogurt packs, and butter tubs are typically packaged in secondary containers (like crates or boxes) before being stacked on pallets.
The palletising process must account for several factors: product stability, temperature control, hygiene standards, and transport efficiency. Since dairy products are sensitive to temperature changes, palletising is often performed in cold rooms or refrigerated areas to maintain the integrity of the cold chain. Pallets are stacked in specific patterns to optimize load stability and airflow for consistent refrigeration.
Many modern dairy facilities use automated or robotic palletising systems from CSi to increase efficiency, reduce labor costs, and ensure consistent stacking. These systems can quickly adjust to different product sizes and packaging types. Once palletised, the goods are shrink-wrapped or strapped and labeled for tracking and quality control before being moved to refrigerated storage or dispatched for distribution.
CSi knows that effective palletising not only helps prevent product damage and spoilage but also plays a key role in maintaining food safety and meeting regulatory standards in the dairy industry.
