Ötztaler cycling marathon

Sunday September 1st the ‘CSi Cycling Team’ participated in the Ötztaler Radmarathon. CSi employees Pascal van Overmeire and Gert Steehouwer, former CSi employee Eddy van Veldhuizen and guest Marcel Stehouwer were the lucky ones who got a starting ticket for the event.

The Ötztaler radmarathon is a cycle marathon of real superlatives: 5500 altitude meters and four alpine passes have to be conquered on a total distance of 227 km. From Sölden the loop track leads to South Tyrol and back to the starting point. To master this extreme challenge is considered a long-cherished dream for many athletes, and only 4000 each year have the opportunity to make their dream come true.

These four guys, proud to represent CSi, were part of it and they made it! They reached their personal goal by passing the finish line and earning the coveted Ötztaler finisher shirt! It was a long exhausting day in the saddle and in the end extremely rewarding.
